Meeting 2

By the time we had our second meeting we had come up with 4 rough ideas and 2 out of the 4 that we liked better, the first idea was found by Hannah looking at a story I think she had read in the Liverpool echo about a local record store called 'The Vinyl Emporium' previously known as 'Hairy Records which had closed down as a record store but was still tying to sell its 15,000 records left over on the internet website ebay. We decided as a group that this would be a path for us to take and that our producer (Hannah) would try to get in contact with the store.

We wanted to document how the store has gone from high street to the internet and through interviews explain some of the stores history from its peak to where it stands now.

The second idea that we had was the one myself and Oliver had from before the group was made, we just had to make it relevant to Liverpool so the main focus we decided to aim for was to celebrate modern street art in Liverpool and though gaining interviews with street artist and companies get their opinions and views upon the street scene. Again the producer Hannah would look for contacts but as a group we all helped gain the numbers of certain graffiti and street art companies that may have been good to get people to interview from. We ended up finding ZAP Graffiti, a artist called Tristan Jacobs who also knew an incredible amount of information on the local street scene and the artists themselves, and finally we found the contact of pavement artists company Urban Canvas.

Our other 2 ideas were those of pigeons and the growing population and also transport in and around the Liverpool city area. The two above however we thought as a group were stronger and could contain a lot more narrative and structure for the audience to understand.
